| Me in a nut-shell

A mountain hiking enthusiast, sea-lover and movies-fan, proud father, passioned by people development and growth.

| My professional journey

Long story short, I have been working in people development and management for all my life, holding concurrent jobs in these spaces since the early days. Some, I would prefer to call hobbies, or even better, passions.

I started my professional journey managing a training centre, and simultaneously, as a Year7-11 teacher in the local community school. After a few years, I was invited for a wonderful challenge: creating and running my first HR department. Since then, I have been leading people and talent for over 25 years, mostly in global organisations.
If you want to know more about it, you may read my HR work story.

The fact is, I always kept a part of me connected with what I really love the most: helping people grow their skills, go beyond, find their own way and inner strength. Thus, I always saved time to give back, in academia (higher education) and counselling.

As colleagues and friends heard me saying more than a few times,
'Do less what you like, and more what you love'.

| The personal me

As much more than work makes the full person, a sneak peak around the personal me, just for kicks.

Mountain hiking is a true passion, and a family thing. I believe there is a sense of connection and healing behind the sheer beauty and power of nature. Having said, there is no 'radical' mountaineering here, I leave that to the more courageous ones. But there are hundreds of amazing mountains around the world between 2,000-5,000m that have moderate-level trails to try.

No photo can capture the true beauty of the sea. It was (and is) my first outdoor passion, since my teens, lived through the not so uncommon 'phases' of board to sail boat, and finally to motor boat.
I lived most of my life by the ocean, and when you really love it, there is a hard to explain sense of attraction.

A home cinema fan and a moviegower, driving around numerous sorts of genres. A fan of De Niro, Nicholson, Al Pacino, Ford, Streep, and of a countless number of film directors. I hereby confess, that in the age of video streaming, I still, unrelentingly, continue to expand my vast collection of DVDs and Blu-rays.
